The International Federation Secretariat (Geneva and Zones) coordinates and supports the collective efforts of the International Federation membership. The Humanitarian Diplomacy Division (herein "the Division") was created in recognition of the unique opportunities offered by more focused and forceful humanitarian diplomacy. The Division will work in new ways alongside Zone offices, to ensure the Secretariat's support to the programs, strategies and resource bases of National Societies, and to help them reach the ambitions of Strategy 2020. The Division is made up of three departments, including the Humanitarian Affairs and Partnerships Department, the Resource Mobilisation and Government Relations Department, and the Communications Department.
The Global Communications Team will steer internal and external communication and promotion in support of Federation priorities and to position the organisation. Gathering the Communications Department (Geneva) and the zone communications managers, the Team will help engage National Society leaders and key stakeholders to integrate these priorities and to support the strategic initiatives of the organisation. Fostering a culture of campaigning, the Global Communications Team will enhance the capacity of its member National Societies, to conduct their own communications work an is looking for a Campaign Officer for North Africa. Voir toutes nos offres Poste The Campaign Officer for North Africa will work as part of the zone campaign team in order to develop a culture of campaigning as a strategic leverage to deliver the migration project, in line with Strategy 2020 as well as IFRC humanitarian diplomacy agenda. To this end, he/she will manage and implement campaign plans on migration/principle and values in four National Societies; working closely with all relevant stakeholders: National Societies, Zone, Regional office, global communications teams, National Society Development, the Principle and values Department, and other key partners.
He/she will take a key role to foster synergies and to coordinate with and support all key stakeholders involved in the success of campaign-related initiatives. He/she will also develop relevant partnerships as well as training or capacity building tools in support to National Societies in liaison with the Federation zone and global communication team, seeking the input and advise from the global campaign manager.
He/she will work in close cooperation with the zone coordinators who are responsible for youth, volunteers, migration and principles and values.
Your duties are :
1. Design and implement campaign plans including clear targets and indicators of success. 2. Liaise with key partners in North Africa and within the Movement to develop and implement campaign plans in a coordinated way. 3. Production of guidelines and campaign-related kits for campaigns in North Africa and the zone promoting the full engagement of the respective coordinators in the zone, the respective National Societies, as well as youth/volunteers leaders. For programmes connecting with other zones the campaign manager will exchange views with and if appropriate develop joint campaigns with counterparts in other zone offices (i.e. Africa and Europe) 4. Create marketing documents, including coordinating surveys, research and impact studies to promote campaigns within the Federation and the Movement, as well as with other stakeholders, provided that the concerned national societies are in agreement and involved. 5. Ensure a steady flow of information with National Societies and the NA regional office and the Amman zone office to keep up with the developments in the zone (and neighbouring zones, if appropriate), and in National Societies. 6. Handle public relations and negotiations in the context of the purpose of this position with partners, including media outlets, operational partners and donors. 7. Act as a focal point in support to youth and volunteerism campaign and activities. 8. Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders that participate to the migration campaign 9. Report back on activities carried out and campaign budget in a timely manner. 10. Ensure that any campaign-related activities are contributing to strengthen and better profile National Societies. 11. Ensure that the campaign plans are in line with Federation policies as well as the Federation's humanitarian diplomacy agenda. 12. Coordinate the development of advocacy tools as key component parts of the campaign. 13. Ensure that campaigns activities and partners are made visible through online and offline materials.

Profil recherché - University degree in communications/journalism/public relations/research. - Training courses: web edition, audiovisual products. - Work Experience in communications/advocacy campaigns. - Work Experience with media, public relations and communications (including multimedia and social media tools). - Professional experience in a National Society / Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. - Excellent writing skills. - Self-supporting in computers (including web related softwares/hardwares). - Skills in training and developing staff. - Fluent in English and, preferably, in another official language (especially French and/or Arabic). - Result Focus and accountability. - Professional mastery. - Teamwork. - National Society relations.
