Reporting to the Sales Manager, you :
- Manage co-ordination of the resources required to meet customer’s technology investment objectives.
- Ensure continual awareness of potential areas for new product and services through constant contact with product houses, country team counterparts, industry associations and relevant third parties.
- Manage daily customer sales activities, ensuring customer queries are being dealt with in an effective and timely manner.
- Communicate vital customer information internally to relevant Sales & Executive Teams.
- Contribute to the pre-sales business evaluations and investment cases process.
- Follow and promote the NOR (new opportunity review) process for the qualification of opportunities.
- Ensure continual awareness of new products releases and upgrades through regular updates with the product houses.
- Work with business partners to develop sales through our channel partners.
- Clearly define customers’ service requirements (new service and migration strategy).
- Identify opportunities to improve utilization of customer’s capital (capex) and overall operating (opex) expenditure.
- Contribute to accurate revenue forecasting.
- Commercially engage & manage relationships with business partners.
- Oversee the completion of customer solutions and strategies based on the analysis of the customer’s business goals, objectives, needs and general business environment.
- Provide revision of completed proposals for technical and commercial integrity, quantification of risk with business, and strategic direction prior to presentation to customer.
- Identify and capture intellectual property to support future business consulting engagements.
- Anticipate and identifies complex business needs and recommends possible solutions.
- Provide team leadership on all major bids by providing strategic input as well as leading by example with enthusiasm and energy.
- Be a role model for the entire virtual team in supporting Alcatel-Lucent’s policies and representation of Alcatel-Lucent’s global brand.
- Provide career support to Account Executives through Alcatel-Lucent’s formal mentoring and performance review program and regular constructive feedback to the team on an informal basis. |

- Very strong communication and professional customer relationship skills.
- Ability to interpret and maximize the use of market research data.
- Ability to project managed customer sales engagements and drive concepts and ideas through a market realization process.
- Ability to proactively build, develop and foster relationships.
- Extremely strong customer driven mind-set.
- Strong consultative/negotiation skills.
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook skills.
- Excellent presentation & virtual team leadership skills.
