Position Summary

Research and Innovation Program officer has the responsibility to engage in all supportive and developmental activities of PhD, Post Doc, DBA and ABS Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC). The Program Officer also assists the Vice Dean or Director of Research and Innovation in the management of the Doctoral Programs and Research Lab, and the day-to-day activities of the ABS-RIMC.

Responsibilities

  • Manage professional development initiatives for PhD, Post Doc, DBA and ABS Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC).

  • Maintain and build relationships with Professors and Faculty Members of ABS and support them in research and development activities.

  • Coordinate the research related functions with OCP , UM6P , ABS and External Research agencies and to expand opportunities for RIMC development and supporting relationships

  • Coordinate with Alumni of for PhD, Post Doc, DBA and ABS Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC).

  • Promote PhD, Post Doc, DBA and ABS Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC) student engagement in the programs, events, and projects

  • Advising current and prospective student groups on opportunities for grants and funding, interfacing with other schools

  • Budgeting the RIMC and academic programs and assisting financial policies

  • Responsible for preparation of material and reports for the graduate program,

    faculty academic committees, and the Chair,

  • Organizing faculty meetings, materials and schedules faculty committee meetings

  • Plan arrangements for PhD, Post Doc, DBA student admissions, including

    responding to graduate program applicant inquiries and making arrangements for

    admitted students

  • Preparation of materials, student, faculty and open house schedules, catering, and

    entertainment, and manage reimbursement of expenses for admitted students

  • Collaborate with website administrator to create and manage ABS-RIMC content

    and proactively manage departmental communications and social media.

  • Organize PhD, Post Doc, DBA and ABS Research and Innovation Management Centre (RIMC) student files and records, coordinate student examinations, monitor student progress through program benchmarks, and prepare graduate student degree application

  • Organize endowed lectures and other events for the Department, including scheduling with faculty and preparing logistics for receptions, dinner, lunches, etc. in collaboration with another part-time Coordinator

. Organize he best use of the PhD students' teaching competences and resources

  • Assist in establishing assessment committees for the submitted PhD dissertations.

  • Contribute in the development of the PhD School's course program through planning and organization of relevant PhD courses

  • Manage faculty search activities including candidate interview, travel arrangements, lodging reservations, and lectures, and placing ads in appropriate publications.

  • Manage the on-boarding activities of research and faculty hires

  • Perform related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

  • Bachelor's level degree or equivalent in experience.

  • 2 years of related experience.

. Some experience in an academic environment, experience writing and editing, budgeting, research, and familiarity with web design platforms preferred.

. Experience with word processing and spreadsheets; networking, negotiation, public relations, creative thinking, strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, self-motivated and self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities, required.
