As a member of the M&R team this individual oversees all technical, maintenance and reliability activities related to reliable operations including influencing preventative and corrective maintenance strategy. The incumbent designs, develops, and supervises aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery and may be responsible for the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of control engineering and maintenance reliability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand the operational requirements of the terminal cranes and increases performance criteria through PLC and when required Mechanical enhancements
  • Participate in reliability performance projects and action plans
  • Ensure the implementation and the improvement of the predictive maintenance
  • Reduce equipment downtime by utilizing Preventive Maintenance programs and participating to root cause analysis of recurrent issues
  • Interpret operational requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure solutions are implemented accurately and within budget
  • Participate in enhancement training programs for elevating response time in local M&R staff
  • Insure local APMT TM2 M&R KPI and performance metrics are clearly communicated, displayed and tracked against Global M&R KPI criteria
  • Document the M&R weekly and daily reports related to predictive maintenance, M&R and operating system

Profil recherché :


  • Electromechanical Engineering or Technical degree from an Accredited university
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience in an industrial machinery environment - marine port terminal preferred
  • Strong skills in predictive maintenance technics and automation especially Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Automation drivers, Scada system


  • Professionalism in a Port/Terminal environment
  • Ability to analyse reports and make action plans
  • A good understanding of cause and effect in an operational setting


  • Works office hours Monday through Friday – weekend and overtime as required
  • Communication skills cross functionally
  • Organized, structured and able to work both indoors and outside
