Poste :

Converged Cloud team is responsible for building and operating the IAAS platform on par with Hyperscalers that SAP Lines of Businesses heavily depend on to serve their customers. We adapt, innovate and simplify to achieve “stability, speed and scalability in order to achieve SAP “gowth and margin” business objectives. To run highly scalable and secure IAAS platform and provide automation services to all lines of business across SAP, we leverage technologies from VMware, OpenStack and required management tools/processes on top.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS:
• vSphere Support operations of complete IaaS Service on a global scale, take care of daily operations.
• With deep technical understanding, conduct root cause analysis of issues arising from system operations or performance metrics.
• Conduct thorough log analysis utilizing appropriate tools/software; interpret results accurately to identify potential problems before they escalate into major issues affecting overall server performance/availability/security etc.
• Swiftly conduct root cause analysis on issues arising from system operations or performance metrics, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business activities
• Proficiently create comprehensive visualizations using VMware’s Operations Management suite (vROps) dashboards for detailed systems analysis; this includes but is not limited to monitoring resource usage, system health checks, capacity planning etc.
• Understand the architecture of SAP’s Converged Cloud platform (OpenStack, Ansible Automation, VMware, EMC, Arista, Cisco, etc.) and deliver 3rd Level expert cloud operations support.
• Work as part of an agile DevOps team and drive assigned topics from an operations point of view.
Implement Compute infrastructure related changes, collect customer requirements, group and prioritize them, and collaborate with the cloud platform development and architecture team
• Experience in running cloud infrastructure environments from an end-to-end perspective, covering compute, network and storage up to hypervisor and cloud platform level
• Change, Incident, Problem and Escalation management
• Drive continuous improvement & enhancements for the cloud platform and the operations

Profil recherché :

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Required skills
• In-depth technical expertise with regards to VMWare products such as vSphere, vRops, Lifecycle Manager etc.
• Linux know-how
• Automation Know-How and programming skills – Python and Ansible
• Automating cloud infrastructure tasks is a key enabler for the team
• Experience working in large-scale datacenter/cloud/network environments
• B.E, B.Tech or M.C.A
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to work in a distributed organization of highly motivated and qualified individuals
• Drive for and focus on results and execution
• Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
• Strong presentation and communication skills at all levels, including written and verbal
• Good Team player

Preferred skills
• Knowledge of OpenStack Core is highly beneficial
• Experience regarding DevOps and the agile development methodologies
• General knowledge about various SAP solutions and products like HANA, ERP and/or BW

WORK EXPERIENCE
5-7 years professional experience, out of which minimum 5 years in similar position
