Job :
We are looking for a meticulous and organized Billing and Shipping Clerk to handle billing operations and ship files to paying entities.
He/She will ensure the compliance of files, adherence to current procedures, and the quality of transmitted information to guarantee reliable and efficient processing of care services. He/She will manage and track billing and file shipping operations, in compliance with internal procedures and the requirements of paying entities.
Responsibilities:
Billing
Prepare and issue invoices for medical and hospital services.
Verify the compliance of administrative and medical information required for billing.
Check the consistency between services recorded in the HIS and billing data.
Apply current rates and agreements (CNOPS, CNSS, mutual insurance, etc.).
File Shipping
Compile files intended for paying entities.
Verify the completeness of supporting documents before shipping.
Prepare and ensure the timely dispatch of files.
Ensure traceability and follow-up of shipped files until their settlement.
Control and Follow-up
Identify discrepancies, rejections, or missing documents.
Participate in processing returns and requests for additional information.
Required profile :
Associate's or Bachelor's degree (Bac+2 to Bac+3) in management, accounting, administration, secretarial studies, or a related field.
Significant experience (3 years or more) in billing, file shipping, or a related field.
Experience in the healthcare sector is a major asset.
Experience in hospital billing, management of approval files, or shipping is a major asset.
Proficiency in computer and office software.
Good listening skills and responsiveness to the needs of patients and external partners.
Good knowledge of hospital billing procedures.
Good knowledge of approval file shipping procedures.
Knowledge of medical coverage organizations and associated agreements.
Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Good knowledge of Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
Ability to read and interpret medico-administrative data.
