Job :

Ensure the design, sizing, and validation of the vehicle's 12V electrical distribution architecture, guaranteeing compliance with functional, safety, electromagnetic, and industrial requirements. Participate in the development of the electrical architecture, technical documentation, and preparation of validation plans.

Main Activities and Responsibilities

1. Design of the 12V electrical distribution system

• Analyze the vehicle's electrical functions and power needs.
• Define and design the 12V electrical distribution architecture.
• Study current flows and energy constraints.
• Perform sizing of cables and protection devices (fuses).
• Use professional tools such as OPHELIE and ALTIS for studies and simulations.
• Ensure system compliance with performance and safety requirements.

2. Development of the Grounding architecture

• Design the vehicle's grounding architecture.
• Identify and analyze grounding points.
• Evaluate return currents and their distribution.
• Verify compliance with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) requirements.
• Optimize the grounding architecture to reduce electrical disturbances.

3. Sizing and validation of electrical lines

• Develop and maintain Line Sizing Tables (LST).
• Calculate and analyze functional impedances.
• Verify the compatibility of circuits with electrical consumption requirements.
• Ensure compliance with safety and reliability constraints.
• Contribute to the optimization of electrical architectures during the development phase.

4. Technical documentation and management of the electrical architecture

• Prepare technical files and design documentation.
• Ensure the allocation of inputs/outputs (I/O) in the electrical architecture using the BALLI tool.
• Update technical references and project databases.
• Write and maintain EDS (Electrical Distribution System) data sheets.

5. Validation and testing

• Write validation plans for electrical systems.
• Participate in the review of testing strategies and procedures.
• Verify the compliance of developed solutions with functional requirements.
• Analyze test results and propose necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure traceability of technical validations.

Required profile :

• Master's degree or equivalent (5 years of higher education) from an engineering school or equivalent in embedded systems. 
• Knowledge of automotive electrical architecture and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
• Experience in 12V power distribution.
• Experience in sizing wiring and fuses.
• Analysis of electrical currents and impedances.
• Mastery of vehicle grounding systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Validation and testing of electrical systems.
