To strengthen its team, AMT CONGO SARL is recruiting a Chief Accountant based in Kinshasa.

Job :

You will lead the accounting department and oversee the company's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, compliance with regulations, and efficient management of accounting procedures.

• Supervise and manage the accounting team, ensuring timely entry, reconciliation, and reporting of transactions.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and performance summaries for management and the group.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring prompt collections and payments.
• Monitor bank reconciliations and manage treasury.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts and supervise stock movements between different branches.
• Oversee financial aspects related to imports, leasing contracts, and depreciation monitoring.
• Manage relationships with external partners.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, legal obligations, and accounting standards.
• Implement accounting procedures and maintain internal controls.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of financial records.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and financial best practices.
• Make a strategic contribution to budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Support cost optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives.
• Review and validate reports related to logistics, warehouse operations, and cost control.
• Monitor local obligations regarding benefits, insurance, and expatriate management (visas, work permits, allowances, etc.).
• Evaluate the financial implications of contracts, investments, and expansion projects.
• Present financial performance and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
• Provide training on financial systems, compliance, and reporting standards.
• Foster collaboration between the finance department and other departments (operations, HR, logistics, purchasing).
• Ensure timely preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.

Required profile :

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting management or financial management positions.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office tools.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in French required.
