Job :

École Le Sud, a leading school in Marrakech since 1988, is recruiting an Experienced Accountant to strengthen its administrative and financial team.

Reporting to the General Management, you will be responsible for the proper accounting, financial, and social management of the institution. You will ensure the reliability of accounts, compliance with tax and social obligations, and the smooth running of administrative procedures related to staff.

As an Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

General Accounting

  • Ensure the complete maintenance of the institution's general and analytical accounting. You will need to enter, check, and record all accounting operations.
  • Ensure daily treasury monitoring
  • Perform bank reconciliations
  • Check accounting entries and ensure their compliance
  • Monitor fixed assets and depreciation
  • Manage cash and financial transactions

Supplier and Customer Management:

  • Check supplier invoices, prepare payments, and monitor due dates. Monitor supplier accounts and ensure their reconciliation.
  • Check payments from families
  • Monitor outstanding payments in collaboration with the administration
  • Participate in debt collection

Taxation and Legal Obligations:

  • Prepare tax declarations in compliance with regulatory deadlines
  • Prepare mandatory social declarations
  • Ensure compliance with Moroccan accounting and tax legislation.
  • Maintain regulatory watch
  • Accounting closing: prepare monthly accounting statements
  • Participate in quarterly and annual closings. Prepare all necessary elements for balance sheet preparation.
  • Establish and file the annual balance sheet in collaboration with the accounting expert
  • Prepare documents requested during controls or audits.

Financial Reporting

  • Develop financial dashboards
  • Produce regular reports for management
  • Monitor the institution's budget
  • Analyze discrepancies between the forecast budget and actual expenses
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budgets.

Social and Human Resources Management

 

  • Payroll management: prepare variable payroll elements
  • Calculate salaries and social contributions
  • Check payslips
  • Ensure compliance with social legislation.
  • Personnel administration: prepare employment contracts and amendments
  • Manage employee administrative files: track leaves, absences, lateness, and overtime
  • Manage hiring declarations
  • Handle formalities related to contract termination
  • Manage expense reports.
  • Social declarations: prepare and make declarations to the CNSS and various social organizations
  • Monitor employee affiliations and files
  • HR dashboards: monitor payroll costs
  • Produce HR indicators
  • Implement dashboards on staffing, absenteeism, leave, and salary costs
  • Provide management with decision-making indicators.
  • Continuous improvement
  • Participate in improving administrative and accounting procedures. Be proactive in optimizing management tools. Contribute to the digitalization of administrative processes.

Required profile :

  • You hold a minimum Bac+5 degree (Master's level) in Accounting, Management, Finance, or equivalent.
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent command of general and analytical accounting and Moroccan tax law.
  • You have good knowledge of social management and payroll.
  • Good command of accounting software and the Microsoft Office suite (advanced Excel skills preferred).
  • You are organized, rigorous, and have a sense of priorities.
  • You can demonstrate absolute discretion.
  • You have analytical and synthetic thinking skills.
  • You are autonomous and a team player.
