The High Commission for Planning is an administrative body, under the authority of the High Commissioner for Planning, appointed by His Majesty the King. It enjoys intellectual independence in establishing its programs and in conducting its surveys and studies.
It is the main producer of statistical, economic, demographic and social information and is also responsible for the preparation of national accounts, quarterly and annual. It also carries out, through its missions, prospective, socio-economic, demographic studies and economic trend analysis.
It also ensures the training of executives in the fields of Information Sciences through the School of Information Sciences (ESI), and in the fields of statistics, econometrics and information sciences through the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (INSEA).
The School of Information Sciences (ESI), created in 1975 and reorganized by Decree No. 2-15-943 of February 26, 2016, is an engineering school governed by the provisions of Law No. 01.00 on the organization of higher education. The school is under the supervision of the High Commission for Planning (HCP).
ESI is the only public higher education institution in Morocco for training engineers and senior executives in the field of Information Sciences, particularly in Content, Data and Knowledge Engineering, Documentary Engineering, Competitive Intelligence, Strategic Watch, Information Systems, Information Management, Managerial Engineering for Info-Cultural Organizations, and Heritage Valorization.
Its mission is initial training, continuing education, and scientific research, in order to actively contribute to the development of digital Morocco and the knowledge and information society in Morocco.
The school offers a rich and varied training program, integrating strong components in engineering and management, enabling the training of highly qualified professionals in the field of information and data, capable of meeting the needs of a constantly changing job market, as well as the current and future challenges and issues in processing and valuing content.
Initial training and scientific research at ESI focus on the following areas:
• Knowledge and Content Engineering;
• Information Systems Engineering;
• Documentary Engineering;
• Competitive and Strategic Intelligence.
ESI has two departments: Data, Content and Knowledge Engineering (GDCC) and Documentary Engineering, Strategic Watch and Records Management (GDVSRM). Each department is responsible for teaching a list of modules established by the school.

Main missions:
The Director of the School of Information Sciences will have the following main missions:
This call for applications is addressed to candidates who meet the following conditions:
• Be of Moroccan nationality;
• Be specialized in fields related to information sciences;
• Have a high level of higher education and the required skills;
• Have at least ten (10) years of professional experience in the public or private sector, in Morocco or abroad, allowing them to assume the missions related to the position;
• Present a development project for the School.

1. The standardized form duly completed;
2. A concise copy of the candidate's curriculum vitae;
3. A letter explaining the reasons for applying for the position;
4. All documents proving that the candidate meets the conditions and possesses the skills required for the mentioned position (diplomas issued by foreign universities and schools must be accompanied by the equivalence order) ;5. A project through which the candidate presents their work program and their vision for improving the School's performance, which will be discussed before the selection committee.
