Project Soar is implementing a national menstrual health initiative aimed at improving access to menstrual products, education, and support for young girls across Morocco. The program collaborates with girls' boarding schools (Dar Taliba) and educational institutions, ensuring coordinated distribution of menstrual kits and educational workshops nationwide.
This is a complex program in terms of logistics, involving multiple sites and requiring rigorous planning, effective coordination, and optimal execution between different regions, partners, and institutions.
The Menstrual Health Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the design, coordination, and implementation of a national initiative for the distribution of menstrual products and menstrual health awareness in Morocco. This position involves close collaboration with internal teams, government partners, and educational institutions to ensure quality program implementation.
Main responsibilities
1. Program Coordination and Implementation
Participate in the planning and deployment of program activities in schools and girls' boarding schools across the country.
Develop and monitor action plans, schedules, and implementation deadlines.
Collaborate closely with internal teams (Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation, Communication) to ensure smooth execution of activities.
Adapt action plans based on field realities and operational needs.
2. Logistics and Field Operations
Ensure the national coordination of activities' logistics, including planning, site coordination, and distribution management.
Organize and monitor the distribution of menstrual kits as well as the delivery of workshops in several regions.
Coordinate training and field activities with local partners and educational institutions.
Monitor stocks, distributions, and operational needs across all sites.
Identify and resolve daily operational challenges to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of program activities.
3. Stakeholder Management and Coordination
Support coordination with government partners, educational institutions, girls' boarding schools (Dar Taliba), and local organizations.
Facilitate clear, consistent, and regular communication between Project Soar and implementation partners.
Develop and maintain strong relationships based on trust with key partners.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Educational Sciences, Gender Studies, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
Professional Experience
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in program coordination.
Experience in coordinating complex logistics and managing multi-site programs, especially in the context of school-based interventions.
Experience working within NGOs or in the development sector.
Knowledge or experience in menstrual health, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), or adolescent programs is an asset.
Experience collaborating with ministries, public institutions, or major institutional partnerships.
Skills and Abilities
Full professional proficiency in Arabic and English required; proficiency in French is highly desirable.
Excellent ability to coordinate complex logistical operations across multiple program sites and in different regions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, build trust with local actors, and ensure program integrity.
Strong commitment to gender equality, adolescent empowerment, and the promotion of menstrual health and the dignity of girls and women.
