Operations Manager (Finishing, Painting, and Final Assembly) - Tanger

With highly efficient, solid and reliable wind turbines, SWP offers solutions to meet both energy and
environmental needs. The overall aim of SWP is to drive down the cost of wind power in order to make
renewable energy independent of subsidies.

SWP is planning to make a strategic investment in a new wind power blades manufacturing facility in
Tangier. The factory is planned to go operational in 2017 and will produce for export and the domestic
market.  

Today, for our development, we recruit an Operations Manager.

Poste :

As an Operations Manager – Production (Finishing, Painting, and Final Assembly) you will be
responsible for driving operational performance by motivating and developing our people to create a
continuous improvement and team oriented culture.

The role will ensure effective implementation of defined production standards, and manage production
operations within the packing, casting, and post treatment area of the blade factory. This role will
require the flexibility to get trained for extended periods at one of our blade manufacturing facilities
abroad.

As an Operations Manager your responsibilities will cover:

• Ensure optimum equipment, product and resource utilization
• Ensure working instructions and guidelines for all production sections and shifts are assigned and adhered
• to
• Ensure implementation of production plans, allocating people and production resources
• Ensure leadership and development of subordinates
• Embed EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) standards and ensure adherence at all times
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives via collaboration with the industrial engineering team
• Implement defined global and Moroccan policies, specifications, methods and guidelines
• Evaluate performance of the production and management teams

Be responsible for meeting targets related to people, safety, quality, delivery and cost 

 

Profil recherché :

Relevant educational background in Engineering / Production Management. Experience of working in a senior
people management role, ideally within a large scale manufacturing / engineering / automotive environment

• Knowledge of mechanical assembly, production control and related manufacturing functions
• Structured operational hands on approach
• Strong leadership and management capabilities
• Must be familiar with problem solving methodology
• Resource and production planning experience
• Excellent communication skills

You master English and French orally and in writing. Arabic language skills are preferable.
