QA specialist / Engineer - Jorf Lasfar / region of ELJADIDA

COBCO was established in 2023 through a joint venture between the Chinese group CNGR, a global leader in the production of materials for electric vehicle batteries, and the AL MADA group, one of the largest private investment funds in Africa.

The company is developing an industrial park in Jorf Lasfar dedicated to the manufacturing of battery components for electric vehicles. Covering over 200 hectares and involving an investment of 20 billion dirhams, this industrial park aims to produce 120,000 tons of NMC precursors, 60,000 tons of LFP components, and 30,000 tons of black mass annually.

COBCO's production will support the manufacturing of battery materials for over one million electric vehicles each year.

Poste :

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a qualified and motivated QA Specialist to strengthen our Quality Department and contribute to the success of our upcoming strategic projects, including IATF certification and client qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the establishment, implementation, and continual improvement of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 management systems.
• Lead the deployment of quality policies and objectives, ensuring alignment with COBCO’s strategic direction.
• Manage the full audit cycle (internal, system, process, product, and client audits) including follow-up and closure of non-conformities.
• Monitor and evaluate the daily operation of quality systems and prepare performance reports for management review.
• Develop, update, and validate quality documentation such as procedures, control plans, and validation records.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of quality and operational excellence across all departments.
• Coordinate the implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure process efficiency.
• Participate actively in client qualification projects and advanced product quality planning (APQP) activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with VDA 6.3 standards and customer-specific requirements.

Profil recherché :

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality or system management within an industrial environment, including at least 2 years in the automotive industry.
• Certified IATF 16949 internal or registered auditor.
• Proven experience with VDA 6.3 and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
• Strong command of quality management tools (PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, 8D, 5Why, Fishbone diagram, etc.).
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office or WPS software.
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and analytical thinking with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and coordination skills and ability to work under pressure, especially during audits.
• Willingness to work occasional overtime during audit periods and adapt to workshop conditions (noise, high temperature, dust, etc.).
• Immediate availability is preferred.
