Poste :
The Community Engagement and Communication Executive within the Sustainable Development (SD) Department at UM6P will be responsible for coordinating and developing initiatives aimed at strengthening the engagement of students, staff, and the wider university community in sustainability efforts. This position also includes managing both online and offline communication and organizing outreach and awareness activities.
Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:
- Develop strategies to mobilize and raise awareness among students, academic, and administrative staff on sustainability issues.
- Organize and lead events, workshops, and conferences on sustainable development topics to foster a culture of sustainability within the university.
- Facilitate the creation of student-led projects related to sustainability and encourage active participation in community-driven initiatives.
- Identify and support sustainability ambassadors within the university to strengthen the impact of initiatives.

Online and Offline Communication:
- Manage online communication through UM6P’s digital channels, including social media, newsletters, and the website, to promote SD actions and upcoming events.
- Create and distribute engaging visual and written content to raise awareness of sustainability issues within the university community (articles, videos, infographics, etc.).
- Implement internal and external communication campaigns to promote the university's sustainability actions and achievements.

Outreach (Awareness and Partnerships):
- Establish partnerships with external organizations, businesses, and NGOs related to sustainability to promote collaborative projects and opportunities for student engagement.
- Develop public awareness initiatives and engage external stakeholders to highlight UM6P’s sustainability efforts.
- Represent the university at external sustainability events and ensure UM6P’s presence in academic and professional networks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in communication, project management, sustainable development, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in education, sustainable development, or a non-profit organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
- Project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Creativity, autonomy, and a proactive approach.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools (social media, content management, analytics, etc.).
- Good understanding of sustainability issues and accreditation in sustainability within higher education institutions.
- Ability to work in a team and mobilize various stakeholders around initiatives.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for creating visually engaging content.
