The UM6P Corelabs is seeking a dedicated and skilled Analytical Chemistry Engineer to join our team. The UM6P CoreLabs is a state-of-the-art service providing platform designed to support technical and scientific innovation at UM6P while also serving external clients. Equipped with cutting-edge analytical instrumentation, CoreLabs provides advanced characterization services across multiple disciplines, including biochemical and chemical analysis. The Analytical Chemistry CoreLab engineer will manage, plan, direct, and coordinate the characterization platform operations, ensuring the satisfaction of both internal UM6P researchers and faculty and external clients. This role focuses on the efficient operation and management of advanced analytical tools, including SAN++, multimodal spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, NIR), Surface Area Analysis, Chemisorption, Fat analyzer, Fiber analyzers, and other sophisticated instruments, within the Analytical Chemistry Division. We are specifically seeking candidates who possess extensive experience in designing and conducting experiments using analytical instruments, and who excel in various areas, such as complex sample preparation techniques, method selection and development, instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting, and proficiency with software interfaces. Strong communication and analytical abilities are paramount for this role, as they play a crucial part in the successful execution of responsibilities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
?    Reception, processing, and classification of requests for analysis.
?    Reception, and handling of samples to be analyzed: storage, conditioning, preparation, etc.
?    Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced analytical equipment, including SAN++, spectroscopy (FTIR, NIR), and surface characterization instruments.
?    Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods based on sample types and testing requirements.
?    Perform analyses across various matrices (phosphate, water, soil, fertilizers, food, industrial materials, etc.).
?    Review QA/QC data to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards (ISO17025).
?    Oversee and conduct routine performance qualification of all characterization instruments platform and ensure traceability of experiments.
?    Provide expert advice to customers and essential recommendations based on acquired knowledge.
?    Generate comprehensive analysis reports, interpretation and prepare well-written technical and scientific reports.
?    Maintain traceability of experiments through LIMS integration and data archiving.
?    Actively support researchers (Professors, PhDs, Post-Docs, and Scientists) and boost their research activities in the best conditions by making excellent analysis and expertise service by different heavy techniques.
?    Organize training sessions and workshops on analytical techniques and method development.
?    Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
?    Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
?    Active involvement in various department activities. 
?    Participate in the supply and stock management of the analytical chemistry division consumables. 
?    Active involvement in the division certification process (ISO17025).
Candidate Qualifications:
•    Master's/Engineer odegree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Food Industry, or a related field.
•    Minimum of 3 years of experience in an analytical laboratory, preferably in R&D or quality control.
•    Proficiency in handling sophisticated equipment for chemical and biochemical characterization.
•    Strong expertise in method development, troubleshooting, and instrument calibration.
•    Familiarity with data analysis tools, chemometrics, and software interfaces for analytical instruments.
•    Experience with ISO 17025 certification compliance is a plus.
•    Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills (French & English proficiency required).
•    Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
•    Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
