About ACER CoE:

The centre has been recently created to address enduring process challenges in Chemistry and Engineering disciplines and create an environment for interdisciplinary research. The research program of ACER is multidisciplinary, with faculty members from backgrounds in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Environmental Engineering focusing on different research fields such as catalysis, separation, energy generation, conversion and storage, and organic optoelectronics intelligent and advanced polymers and materials.

Main Risponsbalities:

               1-Materials synthesis

The candidate must be able to prepare materials using various methods, such as solid-state processes, sol-gel techniques, hydrothermal or precipitation, with continuous monitoring of the purity of both the starting reagents and the final products

                2-Material Characterization

The candidate should be proficient in conducting various characterizations of the prepared products in collaboration with the engineers of the UM6P platform. These characterizations include techniques such as Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM/TEM), Surface Area Analysis (BET), and Electrochemical Testing. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of analyzing experimental data and preparing detailed and comprehensive reports.

Profil recherché :

Education and Experience

• Degree: Master’s/Engineering degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in material synthesis, and environmental applications is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge in the synthesis of materials.
• Knowledge in advanced characterization techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM/TEM, BET).
• Familiarity with designing experimental setups for catalytic and photocatalytic reactions.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English (report writing and presentations).
