JOB PURPOSE:

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will join the IAAS Product Quality Assurance Team.

The role of the QA team is to continuously control/improve the quality of the Cloud IAAS product (MPI).

As such, it is a central team that works across the board, managing the testing activities, environments, measurement, best practices and providing support for the users and the component teams.

Involved from the design of developments to the production, the team’s goal is to achieve the expected level of quality of service while allowing the enrichment of the offer to meet the customer’s needs.

A Senior QA Engineer works closely with:

• The QA lead to execute the test strategy, report on testing activities & defect status
• The product owner to find/report gaps in the business logic and ensure that the software is creating value for the customer
• The developers (AZURE and AWS Competency Centers) for the BAU acceptance testing and the bugs fixing
• The entity experts for support purposes, demos, and documentation
• This position will also review product documentation and track quality assurance metrics while monitoring all stages of product development to identify and resolve system defects & meet quality standards.

POSITION & MISSIONS:

The objective of Senior QA Engineer is to make sure that delivered product is matching the specifications, requirements as well as the group standards (security, audit...) by applying the principles and best practices of software quality assurance.

In this role you will:

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documentation
• Build detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases for automation testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for functional regression coverage.
• Diagnose, track, and manage defects to resolution always related with automation scope
• Collaborate with the broader team to identify, understand, and resolve the root cause of defects and customer escalations.
• Ensure that all assigned project deliverables meet the quality objectives in functionality, usability, integration, regression, performance, stability, security, and compliance.
• Maintain up to date documentation about automation tests

Profil recherché :

PROFILE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Technical Skills:

• Candidates should possess 4-6 years of experience in Cloud Testing, specifically with AWS.
• AWS Services Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency and hands-on experience with key AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and CloudFormation. Strong understanding of AWS networking concepts, such as VPC, Route 53, and security groups. Familiarity with testing strategies for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery scenarios within AWS
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Solid understanding of IaC principles using tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform for provisioning and managing AWS resources. Practical experience with Terraform, GitHub Actions, Terragrunt, Terratest, AWS SDK, and Golang for automating testing tasks and managing infrastructure.
• Continuous Integration and Delivery: Experience with CI/CD practices, along with familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS Code Pipeline.
• Security and Compliance Knowledge: Awareness of security best practices for AWS applications and a strong understanding of compliance requirements relevant to cloud environments.
• Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with AWS monitoring and logging services, including CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS X-Ray, to evaluate application health and performance.
• Quality Assurance Best Practices: A solid understanding of quality assurance best practices, with a high level of expertise; ISTQB certification is highly preferred.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments and a good grasp of Agile principles.
• AWS Certification: An AWS certification would be considered an added advantage.

Transversal Skills:

• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a focus on acceptance testing from the end-user perspective.
• Comfortable interacting with a variety of stakeholders involved in the projects.
• Demonstrates to be a strong team member with a collaborative mind-set.
• Considering the multi-cultural environment, a fluent English knowledge in speaking and writing is mandatory.
