Position Overview
UM6P seeks an inspiring and innovative Digitalization Officer, who will play a pivotal role in spearheading digital initiatives within the Language Center. You will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to identify opportunities for integrating technology into language instruction, curriculum development, and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital strategies to enhance language learning experiences.
- Evaluate and recommend educational technologies and digital resources.
- Collaborate with faculty to design and deliver technology-enhanced language courses.
- Provide training and support to faculty and staff on digital tools and platforms.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of digital resources and online learning platforms.
- Lead efforts to digitize language center resources, including audiovisual materials and library collections.
- Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices in digital language education.
- Collaborate with university IT services to ensure compatibility and security of digital infrastructure.
- Support the integration of digital literacy and digital citizenship skills into language curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital initiatives, collecting feedback from stakeholders.

About the Language Center
The Language Center is entrusted with overseeing language programs for students at the Post-Baccalaureate, Graduate, and Doctoral levels. Our mission at the Language Center is twofold: to equip all UM6P students with the linguistic skills essential for academic success and future professional endeavors, and to cultivate a culture of lifelong language learning.
In addition to its primary responsibilities, the Language Center operates an academic writing center and a translation and interpretation facility. Furthermore, the Language Center extends its support to the broader UM6P community, including faculty, staff, and their families.
Profil recherché :
Qualifications
Required:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- Experience in educational technology, digital learning, or instructional design preferred.
- Familiarity with learning management systems, multimedia authoring tools, and digital content creation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation in education.
- B-level proficiency in English and French according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
