Director of Operations - Phovatech - Benguerir

PHOVA Technology relies on continuous improvement and its great capacity of innovation to improve its products such as centrifugal pumps, to open up to industrial valves, axial pumps and to develop new materials in partnership with scientific and academic actors.

As a Director of Operations, your role is to contribute to PHOVA Technology’s development will oversee the administrative and operational functions of the corporation in accordance with the strategic plan and operating budgets.
You will therefore be responsible for leading their team of professionals who are involved of the company and track market developments, create strategies, set up strategical plans, and propose products and services able to answer customer needs thanks to an adequate market penetration.

Manufacturing and Delivery Product

• Create and implement best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance
• Ensure that manufacturing and delivery strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality, and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market
• Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
• Take ownership of the manufacturing and delivery policy, guidelines, and any associated documents
• Manage the strategic and organizational aspects of the operational, manufacturing and delivery teams to insure the highest possible level of success.
• Constantly evaluate processes, and manufacturing methods to ensure PHOVA Technology stays as the Industry
• Leader in industrial Machinery and delivery performance.
• Responsible for delivering quality product on time to meet customer specifications and expectations.
• Manage workforce needs and plans in all Manufacturing operations, this includes performance reviews, hiring, counselling and terminations.
• Ensure quality standards are adhered to at all times, taking whatever action is necessary upon any failures.
• Establish a work environment that is uncompromisingly compliant with hygiene, security, and environment policies (HSE)
• Sourcing & supply chain management
• Negotiate, design and implement industrial maintenance and custom service agreements
• Supervise and organize full maintenance contracts and partial maintenance

Strategical and Task Management:

• Provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, specifically evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships.
• Assist CEO in fundraising ventures
• Participate in the development of an annual strategic plan, including budgeting for the full business, including Sales and Marketing, Operations, manufacturing, and all back office functions.
• Implement, improve, and enforce policies and procedures that will increase the financial, operational, manufacturing and after sales effectiveness of PHOVA Technology.
• Lead the IIoT (Industrial Internet Of Things) department and implement the Smart Machinery program in accordance with the company’s strategy.
• Management and/or staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, or resolve problems.
• Analyze operations to evaluate performance of a company or its staff in meeting objectives or to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or policy change.
• Negotiate contracts or agreements with suppliers, federal or state agencies, or other organizational entities.
• Ensure PHOVA Technology has an up-to-date disaster plan which should include succession planning, back up production plan etc.
• Ensure employees always remain motivated and enthusiastic for individual and company success. This includes mentoring, training, and coaching to bring out the best in everyone.

Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience for a large-scale operations department, preferably in the foundry industry; international experience strongly preferred.
• Deep Knowledge of the foundry industry.
• Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, problem solving and coordination of people and resources.
• Demonstrated knowledge of key metrics and financial analysis.
• Able to communicate effectively in English and in French.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Demonstrated experience partnering with an executive team.
• Excellent computer skills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite required.
