Position: Formulation Research Engineer.
Duration: CDI.
Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Engineer to join our dynamic team with a background in biochemistry, formulation technology and food science. This position will be based at the College of sustainable agriculture and environmental sciences, AgroBiosciences Program, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, Benguerir, Morocco. As a Research Engineer specializing in Formulation Technology, you will be a crucial member of our laboratory, contributing to the development and characterization of various ingredients and products foreseeing agricultural, food and cosmetic applications. Your expertise in formulation technology will play a pivotal role in advancing our research goals and innovation endeavors.
Key Responsabilities:
- Collaborate with research teams to design and perform experiments, and compile and analyze data related to formulation development;
- Characterize and analyze the structural, physicochemical, techno-functional, physiological and sensorial properties of formulated products and their ingredients;
- Investigate and implement various formulation techniques to enhance the stability, efficacy, and characteristics of the developed products;
- Utilize your technical expertise to troubleshoot formulation-related challenges and provide innovative solutions;
- Keep up to date with the latest advancements in formulation technologies and recommend their integration into research projects;
- Contribute to the documentation of research findings through reports, presentations, patents, and publications;
- Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures, data, and outcomes;
- Build and maintain equipment, including setup, operation, disassembly, cleaning and calibration.
- Mentor and guide students, researchers and lab staff in formulation techniques and best practices.

Profil recherché :
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Candidates should have a master’s or engineering degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Colloid Science, or related fields;
- Proven experience in formulation technology within a research or industrial setting. Knowledge on emulsification, coating and nano/micro encapsulation methods is valued;
- Proficiency in utilizing analytical instruments and methods for products and ingredients characterization. Expertise with interfacial, in vitro digestion and light scattering methods is valued;
- Fundamentals of chromatographic, thermal, spectrophotometric, and microscopic characterization methods of biopolymers;
- Strong knowledge of experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation;
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project needs;
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment;
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and contribute to research strategies;
- Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and practices;
- English communication skills.
