Poste :
UM6Ps College of Computing's mission is to harness advances of the computing age, by transforming the capabilities of academia in all key areas; computing fields supporting the rapid growth and evolution of computer science and computational areas of allied fields such as mathematics, as reflected notably in the rise of artificial intelligence; computing in other disciplines facilitating research and teaching collaborations in computing, across a broad range of fields; social and ethical responsibilities of computing leading change in academic research and education, in the development and use of computing. - home to the largest and fastest HPC infrastructure in Africa named TOUBKAL. This cutting-edge platform, based on the latest technologies in the HPC world, can deliver a performance of 3.15 PF.
Roles and responsibilities
- System monitoring and maintenance including configuration & security management, patching, automation, hardening and system upgrades
- Overseeing system performance and troubleshooting issues;
- Performing system upgrades following new releases;
- Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the HPC platform;
- Documenting any processes which employees need to follow to successfully work within the system;
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise.
- Replacing and upgrading defective or outdated components when necessary.
- Enable faster and smarter operations and implement analytics for meaningful insights
- Partner with internal and external partners to improve the platform, operations and the overall service delivered to end users
Profil recherché :
Mandatory Experience
- At least 5 years storage, network administration, and system administration experience
- Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or a related field
- Strong Experience in Linux and windows server environments administration
- Working experience with orchestration tools like Ansible
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- Strong experience with hosting services (Virtualization, Containers)

- Strong knowledge of the High-Performance Computing technologies
- Working experience of Network administration in Datacenter Environments
- Working experience with virtualization with Openstask
