Marketing Officer Media Specialist
The Africa Business School (ABS) within Mohammed IV Polytechnic University (UM6P, Morocco) is recruiting a marketing officer with a redaction specialization.
The Africa Business School is dedicated to creating a rigorous and inclusive center for the development of research and learning in the continent. Drawing on strong private and public support, and in partnership with Columbia University, HEC Paris, and Ecole Polytechnique, ABS aims to become a trendsetter for shaping the social and business landscape in Africa and beyond.
The school is seeking candidates with ambitious career goals, preferably with direct relevance for the African continent. Readiness to be a self-starter is essential.
Job Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Define Africa Business School's annual Media and Press Relations strategy to :
- Increase awareness of ABS in Africa
- Position ABS as an expert on subjects related to education, continuing education, etc.
- Highlight our professors' areas of expertise
Identify the media of interest and the themes to share on each medium, have points of contact for each medium and build a lasting relationship with each.
- Radio
- Online press
- Offline press
Define the media strategy for each program (on which media ? on which themes ? and at what time of year?)
Position ABS experts in national and African media
Brainstorm w on a global brand awareness campaign
- Manage press relations for :
- Distribution of press releases
- Press presence at major ABS events
Organize media training for ABS speakers
Work with the event team to amplify our participation in national events
Define an influence strategy adapted to our field and our targets (executive education / full-time programs)
Profil recherché :
Required Skills:
- Higher education in communication, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- +3 years experience in media and public relations, preferably in the education sector.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and French.
- Ability to build and maintain media relationships.
- Creative and innovative mindset to promote ABS programs effectively.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across departments.
- Ability to travel as necessary
