About the role

Within the Mobile Services Department, you will work on current topics (5G, virtualization, containerization...) in an international environment with teams based in France, Egypt, and Europe.

In close collaboration with the “New Mobile Services” project manager, Orange Innovation teams, and within a team of Expert Engineers, you will be responsible for developing and documenting engineering solutions related to a 4G/5G mobile core network for our Wholesale and B2B clients.

You will also work with Project Managers, Engineering and Operations teams at Orange Wholesale, as well as engineering teams from our clients

In this context:

• You will first need to master the architectures and Call Flows of 4G/5G mobile networks and understand their implementation in container mode on a Telco Cloud infrastructure.
• You will need to design technical solutions that meet the needs of client projects (HLD: High-Level Design, LLD: Low-Level Design) while maintaining platform operability in a CI-CD environment.
• You will need to document each topic and ensure knowledge transfer to operations and support teams.
• You will contribute to defining the roadmap for the 4G/5G core network solution to meet client needs in collaboration with the NSF (Network Software Factory) team in charge of development of new Network Functions.
• You will contribute to the deployment of the solution, its horizontal and vertical integration in a Lab, pre-production, and production environment.
• You will collaborate on support for different platforms, define test scenarios, perform tests, and analyze collected traces (.pcap) in an E2E environment (5G/VoLTE/IoT chain, etc.).
