Poste :

Position Description Summary:

1. Supporting Sponsored Research and Impact Research

Sponsored Research: Manage and support faculty and staff in identifying and applying for external funding opportunities, including grants, fellowships, and corporate partnerships. This includes preparing proposals, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with sponsor requirements.
Monitoring & Reporting: Oversee the progress of sponsored and impact research projects, ensuring that they meet objectives, timelines, and budgets. Prepare reports and documentation for funders and internal stakeholders, providing updates on project outcomes and impacts.

2. Boosting Undergraduate Research

Student Support: Provide guidance and mentorship to students engaged in research, helping them navigate the research process, access resources, and improve research outcomes.
Workshops and Training: Facilitate and schedule training sessions, seminars, and workshops to help students build key research skills (e.g., research design, data analysis, academic writing, presenting research).
Research Showcases: Coordinate undergraduate research exhibitions, conferences, or symposia to showcase student research and foster a collaborative research environment.

3. Project Management

Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of research-related projects, ensuring all activities are completed on schedule and within the designated budget.
Tracking and Reporting: Maintain detailed project plans and timelines, monitor the status of ongoing projects, and prepare regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of research activities, including progress reports, financial records, and compliance with university policies and external sponsor requirements.
 

Profil recherché :

Qualifications

• Required: Master’s degree
• Preferred in: engineering
• Type and Length of experience: Familiarity with research + preferably some experience in project management/grant management + Websites + managing finances


Personal and Behavioral characteristics / IT skills

• Ability to juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and tasks efficiently, ensuring timely completion and alignment with university priorities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with faculty, students, external partners, and administrative staff.
• Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to a variety of stakeholders.
• Willingness and ability to adjust to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, or new developments in research projects.
• High standards of ethical conduct, ensuring adherence to research ethics, confidentiality, and academic integrity in all aspects of work.

IT Skills:

• Proficiency in project management tools
• Familiarity with platforms used for grant writing and tracking
• Familiarity with social media platforms
• Website management
