Job Title: Research assistant
Area of specialization: Horticulture, plant science, Plant Physiology, Hydroponics management, field, and greenhouse trials
Job/Project description:
The AgroBioSciences Program (AgBS) at the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is seeking a research assistant to manage research activities related to studying plant alterations under different growing conditions and fertilization programs and developing innovative solutions for the enhancement of crops productivity and quality. The candidate will be responsible to establish and monitor various experiments conducted mainly in hydroponic systems and under greenhouses. Assist the post-Doc, PhD, and Master students to implement their experiments. Writing scientific papers and proposals for grants funding. Conduct other tacks as requested.
Main responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct agronomic experiments under hydroponic systems.
- Plan and manage laboratory, greenhouse and or field trials to assess different mechanisms in plants related to resistance to abiotic stress (drought, soil contaminants, etc), and response to different fertilization programs, biostimulants, biofertilizers and others.
- Monitor greenhouse and field trials.
- Monitor laboratory activities.
- Writing scientific papers
- Writing proposals for grant funding.
- Assisting students and researchers.
- Perform other requested tasks.

Profil recherché :
Education, qualifications, and experience
- The potential applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field (Horticulture, Agronomy, plant sciences, and related fields) from a recognized university.
- Scientific research experience conducting field and greenhouse trials.
- The applicant must have experience in hydroponics, Fertilization management, plant phenotyping, and plant biochemical analyses.
- Good understanding and experience with plant biostimulants.
- Good scientific publication record in indexed journals.
- Very good computer skills.
- Ability to work in group and independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
