Located at the heart of the future Green City of Benguerir, Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), a higher education institution with an international standard, is established to serve Morocco and the African continent. About the SchoolThe School of Computer Science (UM6P-CS) is located in the future Green City of Benguerir. It provides world-class university education in computer science promoting discovery and innovation. The School currently offers an engineering degree in computer engineering, two executive masters program in machine learning and cybersecurity, and a doctoral program in computer science.
About the GroupThe Data Management Group (DMG) at UM6P-CS is a growing and supportive team with internationally-recognized expertise in data management. The group has a strong network of national and international collaborators in both academia and industry.
Job Description
The DMG at UM6P-CS is seeking two research engineers who will support the group’s projects in the rapidly growing field of scalable data science over massive collections of high-dimensional data. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented software engineer who would like to embark on an innovation-driven engineering career (academia/industry/start-up) or is considering applying for a top PhD program.
The role of each research engineer will be to:
- design and develop algorithms and data structures that scale to terabyte-sized data collections.
- help set up and conduct experiments.
- collaborate in writing scientific papers.

Profil recherché :
Qualifications
- Engineering or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms (e.g., sorting, searching) and data structures (e.g., trees, graphs, heaps, etc.).
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Experience with parallel programming, especially with Pthreads or OpenMP.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and teamwork skills.
- Good time management and task prioritization skills
