Job description:
IST&I invites applications for a full-time Research Engineer position for an outstanding chemist to undertake research in chemical engineering and metals separation. The research areas and duties will cover:
- Development of selective processes for metals leaching from phosphate byproducts;
- Extraction and separation of valuable metals via solvent extraction and precipitation technologies;
- Demetallization and purification of industrial phosphoric acid;
- Conducting scientific research in a team composed of multidisciplinary researchers;
- Publish research results in peer-reviewed and high impact international academic journals of the field;
- Participate in training and supervision of graduate students,
Profil recherché :
Position Requirements:
- PhD in chemical engineering, hydrometallurgy or other related fields;
- Very good knowledge and excellent experimental skills in preparation and characterization of inorganic materials (XRD, FTIR, MEB, TGA, ICP) are expected;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyze experimental results;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English language;
- Ability to supervise graduate students;
- Enthusiasm towards generating new ideas and passion for solving challenging problems that require complex creative solutions;
