Job Title: Research Engineer in Microbiology and Environment
Job description:
African Sustainable Agriculture Research Institute (ASARI) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Laayoune is seeking applications for a full-time Research Engineer in the field of Microbiology and Environment.
Candidates should hold an engineering degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, and Environment
Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students across the university and externally is required.
Evidence of research excellence is expected. Strong French and English communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
Key duties:
Successful candidate is expected to:
- Conduct original research within an international framework
- Conduct Lab experiments on cultural microbiology
- Perform Lab and pilot trials on aerobic and anaerobic digestion
- Run physical, chemical, and biochemical characterization
- Publish the results peer-reviewed journals
- Co-supervise undergraduate students
Profil recherché :
Criteria of the candidate:
- Engineering degree in Microbiology and Environment from a well known university
- Strong experience in in the field of Microbiology and Biotechnology
- Experience in conducting fieldwork
- Ability to generate new ideas, links, and to build upon existing ideas to generate good concepts and solutions
- High publication record in well ranked journals
- Experience in supervising undergraduate students
- Team spirit
