APM Terminals Medport Tangier is a greenfield project under construction, it will be the third container terminal of the Tanger Med complex APM Terminals Tangier handled 1.7 million TEUs in 2015. APM Terminals Medport Tangier will be a facility with up to 2,000 meters of quay.

Poste :

Purpose:

This position coordinates the procurement activities at an entity and:

• Conducts sourcing process and tenders for goods and services.
• Creates events related to such tenders in Ariba.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of contracts placed.
• Management of service contracts in coordination with internal clients.
• Ensures goods and services are available in a timely fashion.
• Ensure Project material and goods delivery planning and follow up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviews and plans requirements for goods and services with stakeholders from different areas (M&R, Operations, IT, etc.) on a regular basis, establishes quarterly or annual plans as applicable.
• Contacts vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedules.
• Participates in identification of suppliers by conducting market research. Investigates alternative vendors and finds new sources of supply.
• Estimates values according to knowledge of market price, checking previous item prices and quotations.
• Determines method of supplier selection such as direct purchase or bid.
• Prepares requests for quotation using Procurement tools such as Ariba and sends them to selected vendors/suppliers.
• Reviews and analyses bids submitted by vendors based on agreed criteria.
• Determines and negotiates prices including usage of e-auctions as well as other terms such as delivery and credit terms.
• Negotiate contracts including payment terms, conditions, etc.
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with users, vendors and others to determine source of problem and takes corrective action.
• Prepare reports related to supplier performance on price, quality, on-time delivery and service. Follows up with vendors if needed based on user feedback.
• Ensures Frame agreements are adhered to and works with global procurement team on projects as needed.
• Coordinates local contracts with users, vendors, legal and others as required.
• Supports coordinators at other terminals and identify opportunities for consolidation of spend/categories/vendors across terminals.
• Other tasks as assigned and agreed with by the Procurement Manager.
• The position is primarily expected to deliver by following specific company policies in the management of procurement activities. The position is expected to deliver results in a timely manner as non-delivery has a direct impact on the entity.
• Experience on logistics related to parts transportation, customs clearance and some other topics related to import / export management in general.

Profil recherché :

Who we are looking for:

• College degree preferably in business, accounting or mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Requires at least 2-5 years of experience in private industry, preferably in shipping or transportation industry and preferably working with procurement.
• Cost/Price analysis skills.
• Negotiation skills. Resolving points of difference ad reaching a beneficial outcome.
• Effective oral and written communications skills in Arabic, French and English preferred.
• Good reasoning ability and willingness to work with stakeholders in different departments. Ability to speak up her/his opinion, also to senior management.
• A good understanding of procurement practices and principles is preferred.
• Good planning and organizational skills. Cost-consciousness.
• Comfortable working with IT systems.
• The incumbent requires a very high degree of ethical standards.
