Poste :
The Cooling and Air Conditioning Systems Technician will contribute to the Energy4Water (E4W) Project at UM6P by ensuring the operational reliability and technical excellence of thermal systems used in sustainable water harvesting and production. This role is designed for highly capable professionals with hands-on expertise in thermal systems, a strong problem-solving mindset, and the ability to operate within a dynamic research environment.
The technician will be responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of high-efficiency cooling and condensation systems powered by renewable energy sources, particularly solar. The position involves close collaboration with engineers and researchers to support experimental setups, field applications, and technology integration efforts.
In line with E4Ws mission, the technician will play a key role in translating innovative concepts into robust and scalable systems, contributing to the development of practical, energy-efficient solutions that advance sustainable water access and the green transition.
Key duties:
- Mounting and Surveilling Climatic test chambers: with controlled temperature and humidity.
- Operating for Material synthesis labs: advanced sorbents.
- Prototype/ Pilot-scale water harvesting units developments.
- Assisting in the Instrumentation lab: data acquisition devices, control...
- Machine shop with additive manufacturing units.
Profil recherché :
Candidate profile:
- The position is open to individuals who hold a BAC+2/3 in the subject discipline. Preference will be given to those with applied research experience.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and writing are important.
- Fluency in French and English are preferred.
- Hands on application and technicality skills are on high consideration for this position.
Proven track record of relevant participations in concrete projects is also very important.
