Poste :
Current and future developments in control systems, data science and artificial intelligence are expected to create major breakthroughs in the role that engineering systems play in our society. The engineering of autonomous systems, such as intelligent robots, manufacturing systems and autonomous vehicles, will lead to results beyond our current imagination.
The suspensions of an autonomous vehicle are important elements of a vehicle that help reduce the impact of irregularities in the road surface on which the vehicle is moving. They also improve passenger comfort.
To ensure the stability of the vehicle and the comfort of the passengers, one must control the suspension systems in a robust and safe manner in order to prevent the system from collapsing indefinitely due to the roughness of the terrain and sudden changes in the routes.
This research project aims to develop and implement finite-time intelligent control solutions for suspension systems with a focus on comfort and improved driving of autonomous vehicles.
Key duties
The key tasks are:
- Modeling of an electro-hydraulic active suspension system (active vehicle suspension).
- Contribution to system identification using intelligent methods.
- Development of intelligent control algorithms that ensure safety, comfort and autonomy in finite-time vehicles.
- Validation and evaluation of algorithms developed via MATLAB/SIMULINK.
Criteria of the candidate
The ideal candidate should:
- Must have completed a master’s/engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Good understanding of system control.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
- Be fluent in English and French languages.
- Scientific curiosity and ability to take initiative.
