STARTGATE is the Startup campus reference in Africa, considered as the Entrepreneurship and Innovation launchpad of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University, it has a mantra to create a vibrant ecosystem for African startups.
The Venture architecting team within STARTGATE is the beating heart of creating and growing innovative ventures. The team is looking for strategic and creative thinker, passionate about launching visionary ventures which redefine markets of interest.

The Venture Architect Role
The Venture Architect must possess the creativity to design a ‘one of a kind’ venture, the tenacity
to break through the bureaucracy and the pioneering spirit to lead the change.
It takes a lot to build creative businesses from within corporate structures, but our Venture Architect team can do it.
As a Venture Architect you will demonstrate those qualities and an ability to lead the venture team through all stages of the Helix process from ideation through to MVP and scale.
Key Responsibilities
• Discover the ‘Need’ through market and competitor analysis
• Identify key customer trends through in-person research and through desktop trend analysis
• Develop customer value proposition, test and iterate
• Develop in market experimentation approaches, conduct the experiments and measure results
• Work within a cross-functional team of professionals to build and launch new ventures, products and services on behalf of clients
• Adopt a lean start-up approach to building a minimum viable business and go-to-market strategy across all the business aspects
• Define the operating model for the venture
• Develop the economic model, the key metrics to track and qualify the business value
• Deploy the operating processes, cadence and measurement process
• Lead the venture and the team as it grows, iterate it to scale, report it succes
Profil recherché :
Key Requirements
• 1 to 3 years professional experience, including leadership roles within a growth environment, potentially within an early- to mid-staged startup, in corporate venture function or management consulting (a plus).
• Master’s degree (postgraduate, MBA or equivalent study preferred)
• Experience working within teams of 7+
• Experience developing business strategy and planning and financial modelling experience (preferred)
• Experience utilizing creative skills set, including developing unique value proportions, and or defining product requirements and or building growth strategies
• Experience in rapid testing methods, including social media listening, no-low code implementation and testing, building digital surveys etc.
• Proven ability to lead and influence key stakeholders
• Familiar with agile ways of working and scrum methods
• Very strong interpersonal skills, creative and analytical skills
• Have advanced experience in problem solving in a high-pressure environment
• Fluent in English and French
