Created in 2003, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Horses (SOREC) has as its main missions the supervision of breeding, the development of horse racing, and the management of horse betting in Morocco.

By virtue of its mission, SOREC supervises racing companies, supports breeding programs as a partner of breeder associations, and ensures the improvement of national equestrian infrastructure.     

In addition, SOREC is engaged in a policy aimed at improving the competitiveness of Moroccan breeding and boosting the horse market.

SOREC covers the entire country with 5 stud farms, 43 breeding stations, and 11 equine breeding promotion centers, in addition to numerous collaborations with the main equine associations in the kingdom.

Job :

Reporting to the Sector Regulation Manager, your main mission will be to oversee and register documents related to the import and export of horses and semen, as well as associated identification documents.

In this role, your key activities will be:

Management of import/export files

- Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations related to import and export
- Monitor and process import and export requests
- Create and maintain profiles of natural and legal persons involved
- Meticulously archive import/export files in the document management system (GED)
- Enter events and complete equine records in Esirema
- Manage registration files in SBM for imported horses
- Coordinate the transmission of DNA cards to LAGEV for imported horses
- Actively contribute to the development projects of the Esirema tool
- Regularly review and update procedures based on regulatory changes

Monitoring and data entry of identification documents for imported and exported horses

- Create files for imported or exported horses and issue import/export permits
- Thoroughly verify genealogical information and stud book data before validation on Faras (ESIREMA) and document generation
- Ensure document traceability at each stage of the process
- Supervise the organization of transport for imported or exported horses
- Collaborate with customs to facilitate the customs clearance of animals

Reporting on the status of imported/exported horses

- Monitor horses declared during import and report any problems or inconsistencies
- Prepare periodic reports on the status of imported or exported horses and semen
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Create customized reports based on stakeholder needs
- Train staff on monitoring and reporting procedures

Management of disputes and claims

- Review and resolve disputes or claims related to import and export operations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions
- Document resolutions and lessons learned to prevent similar problems in the future

Regulatory monitoring

- Monitor changes in national and international regulations regarding the import and export of horses and semen
- Ensure all procedures remain compliant with current legal and regulatory requirements
- Propose procedural adaptations in case of significant regulatory changes
 


Required profile :

As a potential candidate:

- You have a BAC+2/3 (Associate's/Bachelor's degree) in Customs Techniques and International Logistics or equivalent with proven experience, ideally in Export and Import;
- You have a good knowledge of import and export procedures for horses, as well as customs techniques;
- You are capable of managing documents and administrative formalities;
- You have mastered the company's field of activity and the specifics of the sector;
- You have a sense of accuracy and attention to detail;
