As part of the development of our activities and the strengthening of our teams, our accounting firm, a member of an international network, is recruiting an Offshore Accountant specializing in French accounting.

You will work from Casablanca on behalf of one of our clients, a major player in international transport in France, and will be responsible for managing and monitoring its accounting and tax operations, in close collaboration with the teams based in France.

Your main tasks

Accounting Management:

• Ensure the general accounting is maintained in accordance with French accounting standards.
• Enter and check accounting operations (purchases, sales, bank transactions, and miscellaneous operations).
• Perform reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts and bank statements.
• Analyze, check, and justify accounts.
• Participate in monthly and annual closing procedures.

Taxation and Closing Operations:

• Prepare French tax declarations (VAT, Corporate Tax, etc.).
• Participate in the preparation of balance sheets and tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations and deadlines.
• Guarantee the reliability of accounting and financial information.

Coordination with Teams in France:

• Monitor the client's accounting operations.
• Collaborate with contacts based in France.
• Prepare accounting reports and monitoring statements.
• Identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.

Required profile :

• Education: Master's degree (Bac+5) in accounting, finance, audit, or equivalent.
• Experience: Experience in French accounting, ideally gained in an offshore accounting firm or managing French clients, is highly valued.
• Good command of French accounting standards and taxation.
• Proficiency in closing procedures and preparation of financial statements.
• Knowledge of Sage, Cegid, or Quadratus software is a plus.
• Very good command of French, both written and spoken.
• Experience in managing multiple client accounts and knowledge of the international transport sector are assets.
