The CoreLabs of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) are recruiting a qualified and motivated analytical chemistry technician to join their dynamic team.
CoreLabs aim to support scientific and technical research within UM6P, while providing analytical services to external clients.
The technician will contribute to the planning, coordination, and smooth operation of the ISOTRACE platform, ensuring the satisfaction of UM6P researchers as well as external clients.
This position focuses on the efficient management of advanced analytical instruments, including ICP-OES, ICP-MS, ICS, and other sophisticated equipment within the analytical chemistry platforms.
We are looking for candidates with proven experience in designing and conducting experiments with analytical instruments, proficient in:

complex sample preparation techniques,
-
selection and development of analytical methods,
-
instrument maintenance and troubleshooting,
-
as well as associated software interfaces.
Strong communication and analytical skills are essential for success in this role.
Main missions:
-
Receive, process, and classify analysis requests.
-
Handle samples for analysis: storage, packaging, preparation, etc.
-
Support the daily activities of the ISOTRACE platform, including instrument calibration, maintenance, and sample preparation.
-
Contribute to the development, validation, and documentation of analytical methods and operating procedures, according to specific test requirements; maintain quality control records to ensure effective laboratory process management.

Participate in the periodic performance qualification of the ISOTRACE platform instruments; ensure the traceability of experiments and organize/archive data.

Contribute to the preparation and analysis of samples, according to ISO 17025 quality protocols.

Maintain detailed records, ensure data integrity, and participate in report writing.

Strictly adhere to laboratory health, safety, and hygiene rules.

Participate in training and workshops on analytical techniques.

Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Actively engage in department activities.

Contribute to the management of consumables and inventory tracking for the analytical chemistry platform.

Participate in the certification process (ISO 17025).
Required profile :
Profile sought:
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, food science, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Significant experience in using analytical instruments, method development, and qualifications is highly desired.

Proficiency with heavy equipment for analytical chemical characterization.

Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Good knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.

Excellent organizational skills (time and priority management), with great attention to detail and accuracy.

Good communication skills (French and/or English).

Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively.
