Reporting to the Architect of the Development Department, the Draftsman/Designer participates in the design and development of opening, transformation, and renovation projects for McDonald's restaurants in Morocco.
In this role, they translate architectural guidelines and operational needs into precise graphic documents, compliant with the brand's standards and current regulations.
On a daily basis, they contribute to the creation and updating of site plans, layout plans, facades, sections, technical details, and administrative files. In close collaboration with the Development and Construction teams, partner architects, engineering firms, and various project stakeholders, they ensure the coordination of technical data and the monitoring of project developments.
This position offers the opportunity to participate in varied and strategic projects, from feasibility studies to the preparation of execution files, in a dynamic environment where rigor, responsiveness, and attention to detail are essential. In compliance with McDonald's procedures and standards, you will be required to:
- Participate in feasibility studies by analyzing topographical maps, site constraints, and available regulatory data;
- Design, update, and produce 2D plans: location plans, site plans, levels, roofs, sections, facades, layouts, and technical details;
- Translate sketches, architectural concepts, and operational needs into clear, precise, and usable graphic documents;
- Prepare the graphic elements necessary for permit applications and technical files (plans, surface area tables, diagrams, axonometrics, presentation materials, etc.);
- Ensure the integration of McDonald's standards as well as local requirements for urban planning, accessibility, safety, and operations;
- Coordinate architectural, structural, fluid, civil engineering, kitchen, and equipment plans, and identify any inconsistencies;
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams, architects, engineering firms, suppliers, and partner companies while ensuring revision tracking;
- Carry out site surveys when necessary and update as-built and as-releveled plans;
- Organize, classify, and archive all project documentation, ensuring rigorous version control;
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while respecting deadlines.
Education
Associate's degree to Bachelor's degree (Bac+2 to Bac+3) in building design, architecture, civil engineering, or equivalent (Specialized Technician, BTS, DUT, or Professional Bachelor's degree);
A certification or additional training in BIM/Revit is a significant asset.
Experience
2 to 4 years of experience in an architectural firm, engineering office, construction company, or with a client (developer);
Experience in the retail, restaurant, or multi-site environment is highly appreciated.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD;
Good proficiency in SketchUp;
Knowledge of Revit/BIM appreciated;
Proficiency in rendering tools such as Enscape or Lumion;
Good proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and the Office Suite;
Ability to read, analyze, and coordinate various technical plans (architecture, structure, fluids, civil engineering, equipment, kitchen, etc.);
Good knowledge of administrative procedures and regulations related to urban planning, accessibility, and fire safety;
Mastery of technical details, surface area tables, bills of materials, and document classification systems.
