Main Mission
As part of a project to migrate an existing automation system, we are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer capable of designing, developing, and migrating a Beckhoff architecture to a Siemens solution, while ensuring functional continuity and limiting impacts on the existing installation.
Main Responsibilities
Design and develop automation programs on Siemens PLCs.
Carry out developments mainly in Structured Text (ST) in accordance with project standards.
Analyze the existing automation architecture under Beckhoff and ensure its migration to a Siemens architecture.
Support technical teams in choosing automation equipment (Siemens PLCs, input/output cards, expansion modules, etc.).
Define the most suitable hardware architecture, ensuring compatibility with the existing installation.
Precisely verify inputs/outputs (I/O) to select appropriate expansion modules and avoid any modification of existing wiring.
Participate in the development, configuration, and commissioning of SCADA supervision systems.
Design and integrate communications via industrial networks, particularly PROFINET, while replicating the existing operating logic under EtherCAT.
Carry out trials, functional tests, FAT/SAT, and provide support during commissioning.
Write technical documentation and ensure knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required profile :
Education
Master's degree (Bac+5) in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnics, or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
Significant experience on Siemens projects.
Experience in migration or retrofitting of automation systems is a plus.
Technical Skills
Essential
Very good command of Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal).
Excellent command of the Structured Text (ST) language.
Solid skills in industrial automation architecture.
Experience with SCADA supervision systems.
Good knowledge of industrial networks, especially PROFINET.
Proficiency in analyzing inputs/outputs (I/O) and sizing cards and expansion modules.
Ability to select the most suitable hardware equipment for the project.
