Job :

Assigned to the Health Center of Lydex Rabat, the sports doctor plays a central role in the monitoring, prevention, and medical care of student athletes. In collaboration with the medical team and sports staff, they ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the athletes while contributing to the optimization of their performance.

• Ensure regular medical monitoring of student athletes, checking their general health status and their fitness for training and competition.
• Conduct medical assessments, fitness tests, and functional evaluations necessary for candidate athletes as part of the admission process to Lydex.
• Inform and educate athletes, coaches, and staff about issues related to doping, its health risks, and anti-doping regulations.
• Monitor the adaptation of training loads in conjunction with coaches and physical trainers, to ensure the safety and well-being of athletes, while strictly respecting medical confidentiality.
• Provide medical care by administering necessary treatments when the athletes' clinical situation requires it.
• Implement prevention and health education actions for athletes, coaches, and the technical team (nutrition, sleep, stress management, overtraining, etc.).
• Organize and lead awareness sessions on topics relevant to high-level athletes (injury prevention, lifestyle, mental health, recovery, etc.).
• Coordinate medical care with physiotherapists, physical trainers, and external specialists, and approve medical decisions related to rehabilitation or return-to-sport protocols.
• Participate in the management of medical emergencies, provide first aid, and refer athletes to specialized facilities when necessary.
• Ensure the updating of internal medical protocols and their application by the entire medical and paramedical team.
• Maintain scientific and regulatory knowledge to integrate best practices in sports medicine, prevention, and performance.

Required profile :

• Doctor of Medicine with a specialization or further training in sports medicine.
• Previous experience in sports medicine.
• Good knowledge of sports training biology.
