COMPANY :
For more than 40 years, we have been taking care of the future
Sothema was born in 1976 on the initiative of the late Omar Tazi, driven by the desire to contribute to the emergence of a Moroccan pharmaceutical industry to serve the country's ambitions. This dream has become a path: that of the first Moroccan pharmaceutical company listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, and a leading player in its home region.
Since its creation, Sothema has established itself as one of the pillars of the pharmaceutical industry in Morocco, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the Middle East, thanks to its recognized expertise in the development and manufacturing of medicines and medical devices.
With over 350 products manufactured in its 10 industrial units in Morocco and Senegal, its products are exported to more than 35 countries through its 4 subsidiaries.
Today, Sothema produces a wide therapeutic range including both branded medicines and reference biological medicines, as well as their respective equivalents, generics and biosimilars. Thanks to its partnerships with more than 50 world-leading research and development laboratories, Sothema offers one of the widest ranges in the Moroccan pharmaceutical sector, from common treatments to the most complex specialized therapies.
Driven by the visionary legacy of its founder, Sothema continues to invest in innovation and industrial excellence to anticipate the health challenges of today and tomorrow.
