Job :

The Civil Engineering Technician is responsible for the preparation, monitoring, control, and maintenance of works related to infrastructure and buildings. They contribute to ensuring the technical compliance of structures, compliance with safety standards, deadlines, costs, and quality requirements, in coordination with internal teams, engineers, and external service providers.

Main missions

1. Design and preparation of projects: develop technical plans and diagrams using CAD/CAM software, particularly AutoCAD; analyze specifications, technical constraints, and project needs; participate in writing specifications in collaboration with engineers.
2. Diagnosis and technical studies: carry out tests on materials such as concrete, steel, or soil to ensure their quality; participate in geotechnical studies; inspect and evaluate existing infrastructure for renovation, maintenance, or compliance projects.
3. Supervision and monitoring of works: plan, monitor, and control the progress of construction sites; ensure compliance of works with standards, plans, specifications, and safety rules; coordinate interventions with field teams, engineers, workers, and subcontractors; write progress reports and contribute to resolving technical problems.
4. Cost and deadline management: contribute to estimating project costs; propose budget optimization solutions; monitor completion deadlines and alert in case of deviation from the planned schedule.
5. Maintenance and quality control: check the conformity of structures and infrastructure with applicable regulations; plan and carry out preventive and corrective maintenance actions; participate in identifying and managing infrastructure-related risks.
6. Team and subcontractor management: supervise and support a team of 3 direct reports; organize, assign, and monitor team activities; coordinate, manage, and control interventions by subcontractors; ensure compliance with safety rules, deadlines, execution quality, and contractual commitments.

Scope of intervention

• Construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation of buildings, roads, bridges, dams, tunnels, or other infrastructure.
• Installation, monitoring, and verification of drinking water supply systems.
• Monitoring of renovation or rehabilitation projects for existing infrastructure.

Required profile :

Profile sought

Education Minimum ISTA / Technical Baccalaureate + 2 years of higher education with specialization in building maintenance, civil engineering, or equivalent field.

Experience Minimum 3 years of significant experience in building maintenance, civil engineering, construction monitoring, or infrastructure management.

Technical knowledge Knowledge of regulations, safety standards, project management, tools, materials, technical procedures, and quality control methods.

Required skills

• Good technical analysis skills and ability to read, understand, and interpret complex plans and diagrams.
• Mastery of standards, safety rules, and regulatory requirements related to buildings and public works.
• Proficiency in design and modeling tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent software.
• Good command of office tools and software for technical monitoring, modeling, or simulation.
• Ability to work in a team and network with internal and external stakeholders.
• Responsiveness, rigor, and ability to manage unforeseen events in the field.
• Ability to manage an operational team, organize priorities, monitor field performance, and support employees in carrying out their missions.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, coordinate their interventions, control the quality of services, and ensure compliance with safety rules and deadlines.
• French spoken and written required.
• Intermediate English level desired.
