Track Technician (M/F) - Marrakech

Created in 2003, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) has as its main missions the supervision of breeding, the development of horse racing, and the management of horse betting in Morocco.

By virtue of its mission, SOREC ensures the supervision of racing companies, supports breeding programs as a partner of breeder associations, and works to improve national horse racing infrastructure.

In addition, SOREC is committed to a policy aimed at improving the competitiveness of Moroccan breeding and revitalizing the horse market.

SOREC covers the entire country with 5 stud farms, 43 breeding stations, and 11 equine breeding promotion centers, in addition to numerous collaborations with the main equine associations of the kingdom.

Job :

Reporting to the Horse Sites Manager, your main mission will be to guarantee a safe and high-quality environment for horse training by ensuring the optimal maintenance of equestrian surfaces, the irrigation system, and associated equipment, as well as by supervising and maintaining green spaces.

As such, your main activities will be:

Track and Irrigation System Maintenance
- Follow and apply the track watering and maintenance schedule
- Monitor the condition of the track daily during horse training
- Contribute to the detection and repair of electrical faults on the track
- Participate in the detection and repair of leaks in the irrigation system
Green Space Maintenance
- Ensure the cleaning of the track border and the maintenance of the rails
- Participate in monitoring the general maintenance of green spaces around the track
Penetration Measurements
- Regularly carry out penetration measurements of the track to assess its quality
Maintenance of Equestrian Surface Maintenance Equipment
- Ensure the preventive and corrective maintenance of equestrian surface maintenance equipment (water tanks and pumps, tractors, starting stalls, obstacles, electronic displays, walkers, ...)

Required profile :

As a potential candidate:

- You have a 2-3 year degree in electromechanics or civil engineering with proven experience in a similar role
- You have mastered Electrotechnics and Topography;
- You have advanced skills in Mechanics, Earthworks, Hydraulics, and Electricity
- You have ethical behavior
- You are Conscientious and rigorous
- You have team spirit and excellent interpersonal skills
