As part of operating an industrial wastewater treatment plant, BUTEC Energies & Services is recruiting an Operations Technician. The plant treats water used by the client's industrial process. The position is based in Tangier.

Your main tasks will include:

• Monitoring the equipment and operating parameters of the facilities, using the supervision system and directly on-site, by performing rounds, readings, and scheduled checks.

• Ensuring the operation of the different stages of water treatment, in accordance with site procedures: pre-treatment, physical-chemical and biological treatment, filtration or membrane treatment, sludge management, and reagent use, according to the installed processes.

• Adjusting operating parameters within authorized limits, controlling chemical dosages and consumption, performing necessary operations, and quickly detecting any anomalies.

• Taking samples and carrying out first-level controls, then transmitting the results to the laboratory and the site manager.

• Detecting equipment malfunctions, securing facilities within the limits of their responsibilities, quickly reporting any anomalies, and assisting maintenance technicians during their interventions.

• Filling out the shift logbook, monitoring alarms, incidents, treated water volumes, and consumption, and ensuring clear and complete information transmission during shift changes.

• Complying with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) instructions, particularly concerning the handling of chemicals, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), site circulation, lockout procedures, and emergency measures.

Required profile :

For this role, a 2-year post-secondary degree (Bac +2) is required. A specialization in water treatment, electromechanics, industrial chemistry, or a related field.

Professional experience of 3 to 5 years in industrial wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operations; experience with municipal WWTPs, utilities, or water treatment installations is also acceptable. Comfortable with rounds, measurements, supervision, and shift work. Vigilance, team spirit, and the ability to transmit reliable instructions.
