Created in 2003, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Maritime Fisheries, the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC) has as its main missions the supervision of breeding, the development of horse racing and the management of horse racing games in Morocco.

Through its mission, SOREC ensures the supervision of racing companies, supports breeding programs as a partner of breeder associations and works to improve national equestrian infrastructure.     

In addition to this, SOREC is committed to a policy aimed at improving the competitiveness of Moroccan breeding and boosting the horse market.

SOREC covers the entire country with 5 stud farms, 43 breeding stations and 11 equine breeding promotion centers, in addition to numerous collaborations with the main equine associations of the kingdom.

Job :

Reporting to the National Stud Farms Directorate, your mission will be to contribute to the overall management of equine reproduction, using natural covering and artificial insemination with fresh semen, while ensuring the application of current procedures concerning equine reproduction and the well-being of breeders. Advise breeders towards quality production oriented towards use by adopting reasoned crossbreeding.

As such, your main activities will be:

Application of the procedure for managing covering and artificial insemination

- Ensure the collection of stallions and artificial insemination according to the schedule established by the Center Manager - Accurately enter data related to equine reproduction and prepare covering reports with reproduction indicators

Stallion Management

- Ensure the well-being of stallions by supervising their daily feeding and care
- Ensure regular work for stallions, contributing to their physical and behavioral development

Contribution to planned equestrian activities at the district level

- Participate in the coordination of equestrian activities, including competitions, respecting regulations and collaborating on participant registrations

Monitoring and support of breeders within the center's area

- Ensure the monitoring and support of breeders who depend on the center, providing them with advice on good breeding practices and administrative procedures
- Contribute to advising breeders by promoting reasoned crossbreeding to improve the quality of equine production

Management of transaction requests and issuance of horse identification documents

- Manage transactions related to horse ownership, requests for change of ownership, renewal, and duplicates, following established procedures
- Ensure the follow-up and regularization of the situation of mares with no information

Stock Management

- Maintain and monitor the stock of all equipment and consumables at the center

Required profile :

As a potential candidate:

- You have a Bac+2/3 diploma in Equine Breeding Techniques with 2 to 3 years of experience, ideally in a similar role

- Knowledge of artificial insemination reproduction;

- Knowledge of equine nutrition;

- Ethological knowledge;
