Poste :

This position develops and applies cutting-edge knowledge of date science related methods and tools to provide predictive analytics of AS IS processes and consequently support the prioritization of improvement areas in operational planning and execution, so as to achieve the targeted productivity and costs targets during the ramp-up period of TM2 and beyond.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Perform relevant analysis of end-to-end flow and losses encountered in day-to-day operations and provide insights into improvement areas to focus on
  • Support various improvement / optimization by providing the voice of data
  • Identify valuable insights from mathematical or statistical treatment of available data to ensure a smoother ramp up period for the terminal
  • Act as a sparring partner for management when it comes to providing data- based insights in various operational areas
  • Act as a focal point in collaboration with the IT department to further develop the Business Intelligent solution
  • Act as the focal person / super -user promoting the self-service business intelligent solution and supporting the learning curve of the organization
  • Develop data collection methods for data mining and modelling
  • Oversee the reporting of all operational performance indicators both internally and externally
  • In collaboration with APMT Global Technical Function, Local IT and Maersk Analytics, deploy available predictive models and tools in TM2 for both Operations and Technical functions
  • Based on the predictive tools, establish a robust predictive maintenance process in conjunction with the technical function and actively participate in the set-up of an integrated operations centre where operational outcomes are predicted and corrective measures in place beforehand
  • Apply deep learning, machine learning and text analytics approaches to solve critical business problems
  • Deliver visualization models

Main primary areas of improvement expected from this position (in collaboration with the relevant function):

  • Motion and flow analytics: traffic analysis SC to ARMG and STS; increasing equipment efficiency, increasing safety of driving patterns, optimize speed and energy consumption
  • Optimization of automated and manual cycles
  • Predictive analysis; forecasted process performance leading to optimized asset deployment
  • Port call optimization: develop data collection methods for process optimization and predictive models
  • Pilot-to-pilot timing: predicting asset and gang deployment
  • Predictive maintenance: prevent asset breakdowns

Profil recherché :

  • More than 2 years of experience in industry building data science models and products, ideally for an industrial company.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or airport industry is an advantage
  • M.Sc. degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics or related field
  • A background or profile in quantitative methods, predictive modelling, statistics or similar
  • Excellent track record of delivery using languages like Python, R, Ruby, Java and technologies like Hadoop, Git / Stash, JIRA / Rally
  • Familiarity with Agile / Scrum practices; a good team player, balanced with the autonomy and motivation to produce individually
  • Willingness to build on and experiment with cloud data science platforms, in addition to our own services
  • Good communication skills and ability to communicate data science results and analytics value to business stakeholders
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Fluent proficiency in both written and oral English
