Position Summary
The Career and Internship Services Assistant is responsible for equipping students with the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to transition from academia to successful careers. This role focuses on developing and maintaining partnerships with industries, creating internship programs, supporting Directed Research projects, and providing personalized career guidance to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Applied
Mathematics & Business and the graduate program in Mathematics & Decision.
Key Responsibilities
Career Counseling and Guidance
? Provide one-on-one career counseling to students and ensure the link with the UM6P Career center.
? Deliver workshops and seminars on professional development topics such as networking, career planning, and workplace etiquette.
? Help students align their academic experiences with career goals and aspirations.
Internship Coordination
? Design and oversee the implementation of internship programs, ensuring alignment with academic and professional development goals.
? Maintain a database of internship opportunities and assist students in securing placements.
? Liaise with faculty to integrate internships into the academic curriculum.
Employer Relations
? Build and nurture relationships with local, regional, and international employers to expand internship and job opportunities.
? Organize career fairs, networking events, and employer engagement sessions.
? Collaborate with industry partners to identify workforce trends and emerging skills.
Job Placement and Alumni Support
? Assist students in identifying job opportunities and preparing for the transition to the workforce.
? Track job placement data and alumni career progress, using insights to improve services.
? Develop alumni engagement initiatives to create mentorship and networking opportunities for current students.
Program Development and Administration
? Create resources such as career guides, templates, and online tools to support students in their career development.
? Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of career and internship services and make improvements based on feedback.
? Maintain accurate records of student participation, internship placements, and employment outcomes.

Profil recherché :
Qualifications
Education
? Bachelor’s degree in Career Development, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
? At least 3 years of experience in career services, talent acquisition, or student services.
? Proven track record in coordinating internship programs or fostering industry partnerships.
Skills
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and employers.
? Knowledge of career counseling techniques and tools.
? Event planning and organizational skills.
? Proficiency in career management software and platforms.
? Analytical skills to track outcomes and improve services.
Preferred
? Familiarity with academic environments and higher education systems.
? Experience in international career services or placement.
