Entrepreneur Academy is the Education and Training Program in Entrepreneurship of UM6P. Our mission is to cultivate people about entrepreneurship and help them start and develop their projects. We customize our training for every type of entrepreneur to train, educate, and advise them in the best flexible way possible. We also provide skills and tools to aspiring African entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs.

In order to develop our communication strategies and since our presence online is increasing, we are looking for a passionate community and communication manager in order to attract more audience and have more impact digitally speaking.

We are looking for a community and communication manager to join our team. An ideal candidate who acts as Entrepreneur Academy’s ambassador, face, and voice. They should be able to engage with our community and strengthen our relationship with our audience. 

The candidate should be a people person who is capable of creating content that will drive traffic and who has excellent oral and written communication skills which will help us develop engaging content and acquire new subscribers.

The ideal candidate has strong media relationships across tech, should be able to promote the entity’s products and events, and be capable of managing internal and external communications including general visibility, public relations, social media and media outreach strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging text, image and video content like posts, articles, newsletters and other communications materials for our social media accounts

• Organize our social media feeds 

• Drive traffic and acquire new subscribers

• Promote our work on social media

• Respond to comments and messages

• Monitor and report on feedback and online reviews

• Write press releases

• Develop original communication strategies and plans

• Collaborate with team members to maximize customer engagement

• Plan offline and online events

• Represent our entity at events when needed

• Taking photos and videos during events

• Research to keep an up-to-date knowledge of the industry

• Submit regular reports 

Candidate requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in journalism, communication, marketing, digital marketing, or other relevant university diploma
• Knowledgeable about social media best practices
• Content creation
• Video Creation
• Professional writing
• Strong graphic design skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solver
