About UM6P Career Center:
Established in September 2021, UM6P Career Center aims to support students in their job search. As part of the Academic Services Division, our work is centred around three major components:
- Help the students develop their employability skills. We offer an extensive program in self-development, job search training, and individual career coaching on campus and on line. These training services are complemented by a volunteering program – The Social Experience Program - aiming to give the students the opportunity to hone their skills and apply their learnings on the field by helping the local community.
- Develop our network of business partners and recruiters. This is done through a series of engagement events on campus and a structured process of following up on all type of placement opportunities. All the initiatives in this field are designed to promote the UM6P brand as a talent pool provider and increase the engagement and retention rate of partners.
- Monitor the placement of our students and graduates and support the schools in engaging industry operators in their academic programs
Job description:
As an Employer Relations Manager, you will report to the Career Center Lead. Your responsibilities are to develop strategies to connect, partner with, and maintain potential recruiters across Africa, to build a bridge between the industry and the student body on campus, and to ensure a continuous promotion of UM6P programs in all relevant communication channels for the employment market. You will manage a team of employers’ engagement and placement coordinators and be responsible for the team’s efficiency and results.
Missions or tasks:
- Build strategies to maintain active relations with all recruiters.
- Ensure to publish continuously relevant internships and placement offers on UM6P’s job board.
- Collaborate with recruiters to organise networking events on and off campus.
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms for tracking employment outcomes of students and alumni and provide the management with content and data that support and promotes employer engagement and career development initiatives.
- Collaborate with the schools to engage recruiters in giving feedback regarding aligning the learning outcomes and the industry demands.
- Engage with all stakeholders within the Career Center and the university.
Profil recherché :
Must have qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of work experience in business development, preferably in Education and/or HR.
- MBA, master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to build constructive working relationships.
Required skills:
- Project management experience.
- Proven experience managing a team.
- Extensive experience planning events, conferences, career fairs, workshops, etc.
- Experience with customer relationship management tools.
- Experience with analytical thinking.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication both in French and English.
Nice to have qualifications:
- Experience with University or HR recruiting.
- Experience working with CRM systems.
