Entrepreneurship Development Senior Manager - Africa - Benguerir

• Build entrepreneurship capacity across UM6P by supporting and coordinating with current Entrepreneurship and Venturing initiatives and programs in addition to other stakeholders such InnovX, UM6P Ventures, PCL, Entrepreneurship Academy, UFounders, African Blockchain Hub, OCP Group SBUs, Mascir…
• Foster a robust African entrepreneurial ecosystem by developing strategic relationships with peer technology incubator leaders, community business leaders as well as relevant governmental agencies. This includes developing strong external relationships with angel investors, venture capital firms, accelerators, serial entrepreneurs, mentors, government entrepreneurship programs, and commercial partners that can support the success and growth of the Startup Ecosystem in Africa
• Inspire UM6P entrepreneurs and support their new ventures by identifying, recruiting, and making introductions to appropriate in-house and external advisors, mentors, investors, corporate partners, and service providers. This includes marketing and organizing information on UM6P ecosystem startups throughout Africa to help share opportunities with potential partners.
• Champion support for diverse entrepreneurs supported by UM6P initiatives through programs that increase inclusion, training, management assistance, and funding with a focus on African Ecosytem.
• Oversee and conduct strategic planning for UM6P Entrepreneurship and Venturing activities
• Coordinate with strategic planning for other entrepreneurial initiatives of UM6P and link their efforts with those directly supervised by the department 
• Support Entrepreneurship and Economic Development with External Funding in the Africa Continent 

Skills, Experience, and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, business administration, finance, or related field required. MBA or equivalent degree is strongly preferred. 
• A minimum of 15 years of management experience within a startup and/or an entrepreneurial incubator and/or Venture Capital firms, including prior experience with technology related to investment or entrepreneurship 
• Experience with entrepreneurship ecosystems, business incubators, small business mentoring, accelerators, and commercialization programs within the African region 
• Have a successful track record of generating new businesses
• Strong communications skills for partner relationships, including work with investors, founders, Students, and Officials 
• Understanding Moroccan and African market/customers/categories mapping to identify opportunities.
• High Negotiation Skills & Strategic level.
• Ability to assess and qualify opportunities along with other functions
