Full stack Engineer - Benguerire

As part of the Centre of Soil and Fertilizer Research in Africa, the Soil Informatics Laboratory’s mission is to produce high resolution maps of African soils and develop customized application for decision support. To achieve its aim, this unit need the recruitment of a Full Stack engineer whose main activities are:

• Design and develop a processing platform using various configuration management technologies.

• Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites.

  Apply mathematics and statistics to problem-solving initiatives.

•  

   

  Design and implement applications, and APIs.

•  Write technical documents.

•  Troubleshooting and bug fixing.

• Collaborate with professors and researchers to develop customized applications.

• Write low-level and high-level code.

Profile Required

• Engineer degree in computer science, software engineering, or another related field.
• Minimum 3 years of software engineering or software development experience, preferably in a related field.

•  Advanced knowledge of front-end languages including React/vue.js/Angular, Javascript,Typescript, HTML5, CSS3.

• Proficient in back-end languages including Django, Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate Python, .NET,and PHP.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Analysis and synthesis skills.
• Open-mindedness and listening to stakeholders to understand user need.
• Project organization and monitoring skills.
• Creativity and intellectual agility.
• Ability to manage change.
• Excellent communication skills including written and oral presentation skills in French and English language.
• Very Effective time management.
• Strong Problem-solving skills.
