Join the team, PHOVA Technology is looking for its Head of R&D and Advanced Engineering to ensure full satisfaction of our customers.

Job Description:

1.    Mechanical and Electrical Design: 
-    Develop new Hydraulic and Mechanical equipement component designs and intelligent equipment optimization, control and protection systems  using sound engineering principles
-    Perform engineering calculations: component loading, stress, and life calculations for general sizing efforts, Hydraulic calculations, Electric and Electronic equipemeny and componenent selection
-    Design new parts in CAD, review FEA results and make design assesments: components include mechanical and Electrical components : shafts, gears, housings, clutches, powertrain components, Electric Motors…
-    Direct and collaborate with CAD designers and Design Engineers in your team to develop new product concepts
-    Ensure accurate and timely completion of new designs and modifications to components and sub-systems
-    Support and solve component deviation requests, durability, and other problem solving issues
-    Determine appropriate Design Verification Plan and Report level to validate the product and execute to completion by initiating test requests, supporting data review and interpretation, and a thorough review of test reports
-    Develop Bill of Materials
-    Develop a solid understanding of the manufacturing and assembly aspects of design
-    Work with suppliers, Purchasing, and Supplier Quality Engineers to support cost reduction, sourcing decisions, and design changes
-    Work with internal advanced analysis group as required
2.    Lead Smart Machinery Design:
-    Leading the Implementation of Industry 4.0 principles in the design process of the pumping systems including the integration of IoT, Predictive maintenance and smart montioring modules and Mecatronic components 
3.    Lead the R&D department :
-    Directing and coordinating the laboratory's research and development activities for products, processes, and services internally and with UM6P Departments 
-    Organizing and managing execution of studies and testing to verify technologies.
-    Managing R&D aspects from idea generation through project execution to product launch.
-    Collaborating closely with the Engineering teams and other R&D teams within UM6P ecosystem and beyond
-   Contributing to the strategic development of the R&D organization.

Profil recherché :

-    Master's degree in engineering, science, technology, business administration, finance or related field required. PhD or equivalent degree is strongly preferred. 
-    A minimum of 15 years of Engineering and R&D experience within a Design Engineering or OEM firm
-    Experience performing research management roles 
-    Highly skilled in Mechanical, Electrical and Mecatronic Engineering 
-    High level of ability to work independently upon several high priority workflows with efficient communication of progress and result
-    Ability to connect the experimental results with the business relevance of the project.
-    Mastery proficiency in French, English, and Arabic
